Interim Minister: Rev. Rev. Polly Leland-Mayer has agreed to be the part time interim minister of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Martha's Vineyard for one year starting September 1, 2008. Rev. Polly was originally a teacher, is a lifelong UU and was an active lay
leader for many years. She entered the ministry in 1985 when she graduated
from Andover Newton. She was ordained in her home church in Sherborn, MA.
She stayed in ministry from then until 1998 when she retired. She served in
the Winchester Unitarian Society, in the Arlington Street Church, taught at
Meadville Lombard Theological School and did an Interim Ministry in
Rockland, Maine. She is experienced in Religious Education of Adults and
Children. She will provide the first two services of the month for that period with the other services being provided by guest speakers. Check the newsletter and this site for details on upcoming services.

| New Settled Part-time Minister: Rev. Jill Cowie has has been called by the congregation to be the settled part time minister of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Martha's Vineyard and has accepted the position effective September 1, 2010. Rev. Jill was ordained on May 2, 2010 at the First Universalist Society in Franklin, MA where she was an intern and fellowshipped minister. Jill has an MSW from Boston University and worked for 15 years in the employment and training field in Taunton, Ma. She will receive her Doctor of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School in May.
Rev. Jill lives in Marshfield, MA with her husband and four teenage children.
